The Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce is a prominent and pro-active force in government affairs, speaking on behalf of our local businesses. We add value to our business community and to the community at large by advocating policy initiatives that are critical to economic growth and job creation. Our Chamber has an aggressive Legislative Agenda as we advocate for business-friendly policies.
- We have a full-time lobbyist who represents us in our state capital of Albany. Our lobbyist helps to generate Lobbying Letters and Testimony on our behalf.
- Our Government Relations Committee represents the lobbying arm of the Chamber. Each month they meet with key elected officials and policy leaders to examine business-related issues, formulate positions and sponsor events. The committee is involved in a number of activities including: The Annual Debate, candidate interviews, an Issues Conference, Small Business Lobbying Day, and more. The committee also generates Issue Alerts to encourage and enable our members to voice their opinions on the issues that effect them.
- We publish a Lobbying Guide annually to provide a much needed connection between the public and its elected officials and people in office. The Lobbying Guide and Legislative Staff Directory is a comprehensive listing of Federal Officials, New York State Officials, Senators, Assemblymen, Assemblywomen and Government Agencies, Onondaga County Legislators and Offices, City of Syracuse Executive Offices, Common Councilors, Committees and Town Supervisors and thier respective staffs. A handy resource for business men and women who want to be in touch with their federal, state, and local representatives to let their opinions on the issues be heard.

With all of our efforts, the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce continues to be instrumental in strengthening the climate for business success in Central New York!
